Elementary – Kindergarten and First Grade
Celebration Center is excited to offer an Elementary program which includes Kindergarten and First Grade. Our teachers in this program have their BS degree and teaching credentials. Our teachers are creative in developing lesson plans that are both fun and challenging to help your child become fully prepared for the next grade.
The curriculum for the Elementary program is an extension of the Core Knowledge curriculum used in our preschool program. This comprehensive curriculum continues until eighth grade. You will be amazed at everything your child will learn during their time with us! The subjects include but are not limited to: Reading and Language Arts, Math, Science, History, Geography, Visual Arts, Music, and the Bible. Celebration Center also continues to utilize The Tool Box curriculum to help students navigate social and emotional challenges. The administration ensures that CA State standards are met and/or exceeded.
School will begin for Elementary students at 8:30 AM. If your child comes in earlier, they will be offered breakfast and play time prior to school starting. Parents are encouraged to send snacks for a midmorning and midafternoon break. During lunch time, students will eat lunches brought from home. School concludes at 2:30 PM. For the convenience of our parents, children enrolled in this program have priority for admission into the After School program. For this age group, your child will have the option to go on field trips and we will follow the Brentwood School calendar’s break schedule so that we will have the same breaks as public schools.
